And i have no idea what model or anything they are. I was wondering if someone could help me out!

Here are the numbers I got off of it:

Carb #1 choke side:
N7
Y4

Carb #4
106
9A

Also I have a V&H 4 in 1 exhaust on it as well as pod air filters, could someone perhaps steer me in the right direction for the correct needles and jets?

Thanks A lot everyone!

Correct needles and jets? You have early VM24 carbs; probably the ones that came stock on your 77. Use #110 mains, #17.5 pilot jets and reclip your jet needles to the 4th slot with your set up.

Someone appears to have mixed your carbs up. If you look at the brass fuel drain screws (Screw,Guide) on the carb bottoms, it looks like number 2 and 3 carbs have been switched. The screws on carbs 1&2 should face left 3&4 should face right. Wiredgeorge can tell you what, if any, problems this could create. Ed

Yeah, the covers on the bottom were in the wrong spot, but i fixed that. made it much easier to to drain! =P

VM24 huh? I was wondering if they were stock model or not, but i know they are not the ones that came with this engine, when i got the engine, it did not have any, and i got these off ebay for a pretty good price!

And will that setup be the norm or will it be a bit rich or lean?

By 4th slot does that mean 4th slot counting up from the slot closest to the needle point?

Also, where should i have the mixture screws set? 1 and a half turns out?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but I'm not exactly familiar with the carbs on these bikes.

Thank you very much!

hobodan, slotting the clip is counting down from the top. Basic mixture setting for stock is 1 1/8 turn out for your bike. I believe your screws should be on the bottom? From stock setting you would turn each screw in or out slightly to achieve to highest idle, adjust all screws 2-3 times to achieve uniform results. Make sure you run a large fan to front of motor and gas it now and then. WG's recommendations will be real close, Good luck!

Thanks for the reply, the screws for this particular set are on the sides, a bit back from the filter side. but i will try that, thank you!
