boring a set of vm26.

Has anyone tried to bore a set of vm26s to say 29 or 30s? And if you did,did they work? More ? to come if someone has made this work. Happy new year!

I've heard of it being done. 70's stock production class racers used to do it, but for all the work involved a set of 29mm smoothbores on E-Bay would be cheaper (?). Sets of 28mm are readily available on E-Bay.
