another vm33 question
09 Sep 2007 06:58
hopefully this is a new one. my mechanic has been telling me not to waste my time on the 29's for about 2 months now. he says i will not be happy with their performance. he has recently accuried(spelling?) a set of vm33's that he will sell me for $350 syncd and ready to go for my 750- soon to be 810. i will admit i like to stay in high rpms i have a crank being worked by falicon right now and a head being built by a.p.e. . so you guys in the know is he right or should i buy them for $350 and save for my upcoming j model project. any ideas or opioions would be great. by the way he has 3 streched gpz 750 right now personnaly. he knows his 750's i just like some more input from guys who arent looking at making $350 off of me. thanks in advance

thanks patton, but i have already read (browsed) thru most of that. dont really understand the ( ) though i hope that was not backhanded. what i want to know is how will they perform om my 750 soon to be 810. my mechanic said the 29's were tiny and his exact words i would like the 33's much more he has been my mechanic for over 15 yrs and the only person i will let touch my bike when i am over my head.

$350 is a good price,I would at least try them.
If they don't work, selling or trading them for
29s should be easy.

thats my thoughts tjettim, i would just like to know how they run on a 750. i read alot about them on larger cc bikes. the opinion of most says they really kick in at about 7k which i like, i cruise at 6k which is 90mph(i ride mostly hi ways where the average speed is about 80) and its not uncommon for me to down shift to 3rd for kicks. so would vm33's fit my needs ?
