air filter, jets

Hi guys I need a little help with my bike. I have a 82 750 ltd and would like to get the k&n style filters but dont know what size or if i need to rejet. I bought the bike with a kiker 4-1 exahust but dont know if it was jetted. Any help would be great.

Do you have BS34 or CV34 carbs on the bike? If you need jetting info, please provide the type of carburetor.

I dont know how to tell, they have the flat crome top

Look on the side... The CV34 have KEIHIN stamped on the side and the BS34 have MIKUNI stamped on the side. If they have chrome tops, they are likely the Keihin (but can't really be sure; I think some of the Mikuni had chrome as well....

If they are the Keihin, #140 secondary main jets, #68 or #70 main jets and the slow (pilot) jets have no replacements so leave them alone (#35 slow jets). Jet needle has only one clip slot and works well as is without shimming. Get jets from www.z1enterprises.com

How about the pod filters for a BS34? I have an 83 750 f and an A 82 1000KZ, both with 34s, needs pod filters for both!
