BS34 Rebuild--Initial Idle Adj Setting?
30 Aug 2007 14:32
Just finished dismantling, cleaning, and reassembling a set of BS34 carbs. I'm getting ready to put them on my "New" CSR.
I'm wondering what the proper procedure is for the initial idle adjuster screw setting. How open should the butterfly valves be initially? Barely cracked? 1/8"? I forgot to look at where it was set initially before taking it apart. :pinch:
Thanks.

Thanks again, George.
Actually, I couldn't wait. So last night, I just guessed, and set them "barely cracked", and it fired right up the instant I hit the starter button and idled nicely. I guessed right, and you confirmed it.
