The only oval bore carbs I have seen were Cv type
and were not that great.Do you mean smooth bore
33s?

are they 33mm across the width or the hieght?i have 333 smoothbores that i am triing to tune now and tjettim has them too.we could give u a starting point for ours but i think u are going to be lucky if u find someone useing them.it seems they must be a rare thing.if u list all the goodies on your bike in your signature it may help.i started with 22.5 pilots, pilot air screw at 1 turn out from seat, needle clip #3, 132.5 mains.what #"s are all the jets now, main air jet, needle, slide cut....?

Z1000? A 77? And 82? What airbox? What exhaust? Modified engine? What altitude... might be a good idea to edit your signature and include your bike year/model and possibly your location. Clarify WHICH type carburetor assembly you are asking about. The stock carburetor assembly on an 81 KZ1000 and later would be a BS34. I know of nothing called an ovalbore so if you are referring to a VM33 smoothbore, the jetting will be quite different. Thanks.

No there not the vm33 smoothbores. They are similar to a set of 28s just the sldes are taller and when wide open throttle the opening is 28 wide and 33 tall. the carbs are 55 ml on the air filter side and 36ml ml on the head side. The carbs have both the air mix adjust on the side like 28s as well as the fuel mix adjust underneath like the z1000a 26s. The idle jet is different to these and is the same type as in my 29ml smoothbores as well as haveing brass floats, but they are not a smooth bore design. Ill post up a photo next to a set of 28s for comparison. The bike itself is a 77z1000a with a 1075mtc kit fitted with mild cams(have 253b on them if this helps) and dyna ignition. no head work, 4into 1 and pod filters.
