pilot jets kz650 was created by BoZ650
Im piecing together a 77 kz650.Im putting a 4 to 1 exhuast and individual air pods.I looked up the jetting on a link through KZrider and it said to go up 3 sizes on mains to 110.It also recomended i move up 1 size in pilot jets. Here inlies the problem:One set of carbs has pilot jets marked 15.The second set of carbs I have the pilot jets are marked 50.
1.Which jets do I go by?
2.Where do i get bigger pilot jets?
The frame is painted and ready for engine and everything else to be installed. These are the only parts needed to get it going!
Thanx Guys

The #110 recommendation was based on a baseline of #102.5 main jet stock. Your #50 "pilot" VM24s don't have #102.5 mains stock... they are much smaller; probably #90.5 or something like that. I doubt using a #110 main will hurt anything so give it a try regardless of what mains you find in there or a #105 main; either will work.

Your pilot jets are #15 on both sets. The one with the #50 barrel jets OVER the top of the pilot jets was made a bit later and they used the extra set of jets to restrict gas flow to the pilot jets. Either set will do well with #17.5 pilot jets. Unscrew the #50 jets and put them in a safe place... they don't need to go back in. Unscrew the #15 pilots and replace with #17.5. They are MIKUNI VM22/210 type and you can get them from www.z1enterprises.com
