The specs from the FSM for the '84 ZN700 show the "Service fuel level" as 0.5 +/- 1 mm, and is the measured level the fuel sits below the bottom of the carb where the float bowl attaches at.

If you need any more ZN700 specs just let me know, I recently scored a FSM in great condition for a song off of eBay. :)

Ok, I see what through you for a loopp in the FSM.
Being that the ZN models are listed as a supplement in the back, the rest of the manual that covers the KZ750N (Spectre) and Z750P does cover some of the ZN's specs and what-not.

If you look on page 1-10, it shows that although the KZ750N (Spectre) has a diff fuel service level, it has exactely the same carbs, Kehein CV34's, as the ZN's. The Z750P used Mikuni BS34 carbs.

And on page 3-3 it shows the float height specs for both the KZ750N and Z750P models, and in brackets it shows which carbs each uses.

So to make a long story short, Float Height for the ZN700 is 21 mm. ;)
