In his original post he stated he DOES HAVE
accelerator type Mikuni carbs.

He did not say he had VM26SC type carbs. Actually
the SC carbs are 28mm.

So, I think the answer still stands, that there
is a place for a vacuum sensor that disables
the accel. pump, even tho its not used.

(It must be nice for some people to think they
know everything? Now if they could only read
the question correctly before they answer it
would be a perfect world.)

The little BB thing is in the hole and it doesnt look like there was evr anything installed so i am going to make a block off plate from some aluminum flat stock and seal it with silicone just to keep dirt out. Thanks for all the input.

Not really needed. If it has the pressed in BB in the center of it was never meant to have the shut off diaphram and shouldnt leak or really matter if it gets dirty.

Yep..'Fish' is correct. Its totally non-functional.
No need to block it off or cover it.

But, a nice chrome cover would look nice...
