I am currently working on a 76 kz900a that has been sitting for a few years. Of course, the carbs needed cleaning. i was wondering if anyone had come across rubber tipped needles for the needle & seats on the old Kaws. Any help would be appreciated...thanks

Rubber tipped sounds like a good way to go. If you find a source let me know.

The needles and seats on a KZ900 VM26SC carb assembly were designed as a set and the needles are not rubber clad. Rubber clad needles can be found for Keihin carbs and while you might like these type needles, I can pretty much guarantee they won't seat as well as the ones designed for the Mikuni seats. I would use the correct parts... but that is me. As far as sources, there are at least a dozen different types of rubber nosed/clad float needles. K&L supplies sells them. You can get them through any authorized K&L distributor. I am a distributor but don't sell retail. Sorry...
