Which intake boots do I need was created by donthekawguy
I'm putting a set of rs 34's on my 78 1000. I can't remember which intake rubbers I need to order. Anyone know?

Rathdrum Idaho
1971 Kawasaki g3ss
1972 Yamaha R5 350
1965 Suzuki Hillbilly
1964 Yamaha 125

Get the ones off a J-model motor. 81-82 for sure and maybe GPZ1100 but not sure of those. I think the last 4 numbers are 1135. I believe all the ones off 81-84 (maybe later years) will work. These are used for up to 40mm carbs.

1980 LTD (changed over the years), 1979 LTD (being rebuilt), 1977 KZ turbo and various KZ's in various states of build. KLX110

The type intake manifold used should match the type of BS34. There are THREE types of flanges depending on what type BS34 and the intake manifold will be molded to fit the flange correctly. They are all the same size so if you use the wrong one, there won't be any negative impact immediately... it will just tend to crack fairly quickly.

I am going to eventually put a "flange/carb holder" guide on our website. Here is a pic I just drew of a GS850 BS34 flange and the required carb holder. I am in the office and this is the only BS34 I have access to right this moment but you should get the idea:

The point is, the rubber in the carb holder is contoured like the flange on the carb body itself.
