KZ 750 L3 810 kit rejet

Okay,
So this pup had the audacity to let the top end go with only 90K on it
So I've bored the cylinders, added a V&H 4 into 1 (w/baffle) , Dyno Jet Stage 3 kit w/pods) and a Dyna coils (3 ohm). the head was also decked 20 thous with the boring. Cams are stock and carbs are the stock Mikuni (bs34 correct?)
She starts fine and idles okay a 2K but not so good at 1200 - 1500. Throttle response is very good at 4K - 7K rpm but sluggish to 4K and after 7K. She'll barely get over 107 MPH on my deserted test strip. I have a BC800 (and a GPS) to verify those above 85 speeds.
The Dynojet kit is s 2135.001 I believe I'm using a 165 Main, well its a DJ165 is that the same as a 165?. The clip is on the top slot in the needle and the pilot jets are stock. The screw thats over the pilot jet is 2 turns out.
Everything I've read hear says I should be running a 140 main or I should start there. Is that correct? Will larger pilots help the 2k-4k range?
Thanks in advance
matt

Your off idle transition will be cleaner if you bump the pilot jets to Mikuni type BS30/96 #40. The top end is woeful because of the Dynajet main jets. From what I have read, they are actually smaller than the Mikuni counterparts by about 10 percent. #140 Mikuni mains are a good starting point. The mid-range woes are from the Dynajet jet needle. You can play with the thing till the cows come home and try and work out the flat spots but if you reinstall the stock jet needles, the flat spot issue will go away.

George,
Thanks, just to confirm the unadjustable needles are the way to go?

Absolutely. Please confirm the badge number on your jet needle... it will be either 4xxxx or 5xxxx
