Hey guys I got a set of 34's off ebay for my bike and need to know if they will work. I put a 1075 kit on and cleaned up the head a little. The bike will be used for drag racing only with no filters and stock cams for this year. Will they work? I know I need the J head boots and they are the carbs with the round tops on them. I got them cheap and was hoping I could use them. Anything is better than the 26's I had on last year.

If you only use them for drag racing, with no air filters, stick some #42.5 pilot jets in and some #145 main jets. You might want to actually experiment a bit with the mains... but it will be no more than one size up or down from the #145, I am guessing. The 34s will work OK... you need some VM33s.

Next year I'll be running a 1200 or bigger motor so I just need these for this year. Not sure what size to get for the bigger motor but I have until next spring to find out.

Quick question: are these CVs? Not that it'd matter, just wondering!
