spares needed
29 Jun 2007 10:14
First hi all! Yes i'm new here and thank god your here...
Here's the bike still in one piece. It's powered by a kz 750 twin (1971).I have only owned it for a month now (after waiting for the previous own to tire of it through bad performance)
It is now stripped down for cleaning and the frame to be powder-coated.
Whilst it's in pieces i hope to sort out all it's faults one of which is the over rich fuel mix.
Here's the question does anybody know where i could get the carburettor vacuum diaphragm and springs?
Via the net or in the Staffordshire (UK)area.

Welcome to KZR. I'm not usually too crazy about the chopper types but yours looks like it's built exceptionally well. It looks nice!
The first place to look for any KZ parts is right here:
www.z1enterprises.com/catalog.aspx?pid=KZ750-twin
If they don't list exactly what you need, please call because Jeff and his employees will most likely be able to find it for you and offer you some advice as well. Good luck!

It must be a 1976 or newer actually because that's when production of the KZ750 started. Be ready for $400 for 2 diaphrams and 2 springs.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Measure the hole on the intake side of your carbs. I have an extra set that is complete that someone cobbled at one time or another..

www.nrp-carbs.co.uk/
Ask for Andy and tell him I sent you. They are a first rate company and when I buy diaphragms for customers, that is where I get them.
