Carb question and maybe a useful tip
28 Jun 2007 10:52
For the question..
I dont have a book on it (I know, picking one up this payday) so I have to ask. Im rebuilding the carbs for this 79 KZ750 twin and Im not sure what to set the floats at, can anyone tell me maybe?
Now, the posibly useful tip for next time you pick up a doo doo box (hard to say without cussin) and the carbs are caked with that white crap inside the bowls and all your holes, grab some normal household vinegar, take the carbs apart and soak for a couple hours or longer if needed.
And a couple pics of the results.
The before..

I believe that the float level should be 24mm from gasket mating surface to top of brass float.
