77 KZ650C Circlip and collar?

I'm missing a plastic collar and circlip for the enricher on one of my carbs. For some reason, I just can't find anybody that selling one tiny little circlip with a label saying "this is the circlip for the 77 KZ650 that you've been looking for".

Darnedest thing...

Still starts right up with no hesitation or problem but....I know it's missing and that's been on my list for months.

I wonder if anybody has any leads or a spare carb laying around they'd like to sell or trade for something comparable?

Don't know abotu the plastic collar but a well stocked hardware store should have the circlip.

A fella who owns a shop in Maryland named Fischer I think sells the little spools made out of aluminum. He sells them in sets on eBay and probably sells them via his shop. He does have a website but I can't recall what the link is. He used to hang out here but haven't seen him in ages. You might look on eBay... not sure what to search for but I have seen them either searching for KZ parts (usually search "KZ1000") or for "carburetors".

As far as the E-Clip (not a circlip), it is metric 2.3mm - if you find the fella I suggested, he probably has those as well. I buy them by the hundred from a supplier. Unfortunately, you can't make an inch e-clip work as the inch-sized clips are a tad too small or too big. This e-clip (2.3mm) and 4mm e-clips are used on many carbs and a few use 7mm such as the ones on the end of throttle shafts.

Thanks for the heads up, everybody! I do see a set of carbs on ebay for what seems to me to be a decent price. I assume I can just harvest the parts I need from it. Out of curiosity, is there much difference in the designs of the carbs used for these bikes? I've seen mention of numerous different models while digging through previous posts but was never truely clear on the differences.

by 'these bikes' you mean KZ's? I would say, hell yes; KHI seemed to use just about anything. check out some of the different styles in the pictures on wiredgeorge's site sometime.
