What do you do with old carb holders? was created by N0NB

You make a jig for holding the carb rack while checking the float level!

I needed a vise on the bench anyway so I bought one today. Got the plywood from a friend that runs a lumber yard as scrap. The carb holders were take-offs due to cracking.

A pair seems to hold the rack quite well:

I borrowed the clamps off the bike to be sure they stay on the holders.

My floats are now right on the money--2.5mm from the lower edge of the carb body.

See it does pay off from time to time. Be sure and show those photos to the wife when she tries to make you throw all your "junk away"!!:woohoo:
