What do you do with old carb holders? was created by N0NB
You make a jig for holding the carb rack while checking the float level!
I needed a vise on the bench anyway so I bought one today. Got the plywood from a friend that runs a lumber yard as scrap. The carb holders were take-offs due to cracking.
A pair seems to hold the rack quite well:

I borrowed the clamps off the bike to be sure they stay on the holders.
My floats are now right on the money--2.5mm from the lower edge of the carb body.
