What do you do with old carb holders?

You make a jig for holding the carb rack while checking the float level!

I needed a vise on the bench anyway so I bought one today. Got the plywood from a friend that runs a lumber yard as scrap. The carb holders were take-offs due to cracking.

A pair seems to hold the rack quite well:

The C-clamp to hold them steady and provide fore and aft leveling:

I borrowed the clamps off the bike to be sure they stay on the holders.

My floats are now right on the money--2.5mm from the lower edge of the carb body. :)
