KZ650F - No carb rebuild kit available

Just spoke with Jeff at Z1. It was my first time talking to him, what a great guy! I feel good that my sizable order is supporting such a good guy.

That said, I inquired about carb rebuild kits for my 1980 KZ650F. He said that he didn't carry them, and they were quite rare if they actually existed(I'm paraphrasing here).

He suggested I order things separately as much as I could. Here's hoping most things inside the carbs are in decent enough shape! :pinch:

i've got the bowl and top gaskets on order, but it's the o-rings im concerned with. getting those locally may be time consuming. not to mention the float needles and seats..

just wanted to post my experience in case any other F1 owners are ever interested :)

Just a thought, you might want to pick up a set of 24's from ebay.. For the money you spend on individual parts.. It might be cheaper. Then just get a carb kit for the new ones.. I don't know anything about the Kz650 F though, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Here are some starting at $13.50

To the best of my knowledge the carbs are the same on my 79b and 80f.
They both have 24mm accel pump carbs with the same jetting.
Ham lake, MN.
77&78 KZ1000A's
A nice 79 1000LTD
And a pile 80 1000LTD
Plus a few others.
