need to know float settings for 82 kawasaki 550, please help!

Howdy. I'm rebuilding the carburetor on my 82 kawasaki 550 A3, but need to know the float settings to finish it up... Can anyone help me out? I sure would appreciate the info before it gets too hot to ride....

You have to check it with a hose on the overflow tube. It's the most accurate method. The manual should explain it.

I'm glad that PDF is making the rounds.. 550 riders have gotta get some kind of break now and then.

no kidding - this bike - as cool as it is - is nickel and diming me to death! peace.

The only problem is that there are a lot of errors in that manual.

Best to consult experienced users when doing valve-shims, timing chain inspection, cam-timing.

I'll try to make corrections when I can, sometime, maybe after the season.

Are they detail errors, or large process errors?

I guess the details are just as bad - but if I'm using it to pull my heads (as an example), the general process is correct, right?
