I need a carb kit for '78 Z1R cabs that include the needle jet.

Does anyone know where I can get them?

If I was you I would e-mail ricepaddy in the link, they have all kinds of kits, they just might not be listed on ebay.. Worth a shot, $44.00!

No carb kit carries needle jets that I know of. The needle jet is the small bright metal or brass piece that protrudes up into the venturi from the carb bowl. The jet needle looks like a mini-knitting needle that hangs from the slide. Some carb kits have jet needles in them but almost none have needle jets.

I just bought 4 kits from ricepaddy and the needle jets, (knitting needles) are included. I posted another post earlier about clip position as i got the new needles. My manual say's 4th slot. I've read around here clip on 3 but the carbs were on four when I took em out. My question was, is it rule of thumb to go up a notch for 4-1 pipe and pods. So, to clip 5 I go or stay at 4? Buy the kits the needles are include.;)

Some kits have them and some don't; depends on who manufactured the kit. I don't buy many carb kits as we buy parts in bulk so am not an expert. Try www.z1enterprises.com and they can tell you. Also, don't be surprised if the included jet needles have badge numbers that are different than the original Mikuni badge numbers. Keyster kits, which include jet needles in some cases, will often stamp them with their own numbering.
