Petcock Recommendations - KZ1000CSR
22 Apr 2007 10:05
Well, after waking up to a puddle of gas in my garage and my house smelling, I think it is time for a new petcock because the rebuild kit / cleaning did not work for the second time. Has anyone used the suzuki vacuum style which Z1 has? I am just trying to get a feel to what the options are and what the common bolt spacing people have had.

If you´re not doing a restoration get a Pingel manual petcock. Works great, won´t leak.

jeff at z1 also carries a cheap universal petcock that works just fine at look good to. i pick up one for a friend a few weeks ago he said it was twenty five dallors well spent. they are chrome by the way. the only down side to them is that the petcocks only have the spigit facing the front or back of the bike instead of one on the back side of the petcock turn under the tank.

Thanks for the information guys, I went with the Pingle. I would rather spend the money on a descent one now, no plan on ever getting rid of this bike anyhow:laugh:

Exactly, when you do something do it well at the first time. Same goes with so called repair kits:whistle:
