I have a 1977 KZ1000LTD that's been sitting for the past 6 years before I purchased it from a friend of mine. I cleaned and rebuilt the carbs, installed four single air filters, and replaced the points with an electronic pickup, and one of the problems that I'm experiancing is I can get the engine to idle under 1000 rpm's, but when I rev it up, the engine will idle at 2000 rpm's for about a minute and slowly come back down to 1000 rpm's. The trottle assembly is returning to the stop so I don't believe the cables are sticking. Does anyone have any idea of what I should be looking for? I'll post some picture when the restorations complete. It's going to be a sweet bike.
