Fuel dripping from air box 81 KZ1000J

81 KZ1000J, starts OK and than fuel starts dripping out of air box in a steady flow. All stock except carbs are 34mm carbs from a 81 LTD model and have the J model jets installed from carb kits. Whats going on. Thanks.

I have the same problem on the 81 ltd like you say. I don't know whats up with that. Some would say that a pilot jet was stuck open.

Your float level is too high.
You probably have a piece of dirt in your needle and seat...
or....
your needle is excessively worn and due for replacement.

I choose float level, seeing I just cleaned out the dirt and the needles are in good condition
