MIKUNI PERFORMANCE CARBS?

I have a set of Mikuni Carbs that I am trying to identify (pic attached). The numbers on them are T36D3P. The suction side inner diameter is about 40mm.
Does anybody have experience with these particular carbs? I want to put them on my 78 KZ1000 but don't know if they are useful for plain street riding?
What would be the benefits of installing them on a stock engine bike with K&N filters and 4-1 performance exhaust?

i have no idea what they are but i seem to be pretty resourceful in pestering other people into giving me help. maybe you could take more pictures of the carbs and also ask wiredgeorge personally if he would know. he seems to be the man to talk to when it comes to carbs...or wires?

i've never seen a set of carbs like that. george?

they look like either 34,36,38 or even 40mm flatslides.
great for a hopped up bike but way to fat for a stock bike.
they would be great for top end running but you will be soggier that a day old bowl of corn flakes off idle.
you need big cc's,higher compression and a set of hot cams.
i would keep my eyes open for a set of 28's

u2u me if you want to get rid of them.

looks like a big set of flatslides,way too much carb for a streetbike motor.they would be good on a 1428 dragbike,not no good for a small bore street engine:blink: id stick with my old standby 28 or 29mm carbs for a streetbike motor

Somewhere on the casting body of the carb body is a 38 0r 40 marking iirc. Way too much carb for a small street motor, I see they have accelerator pumps too... sell'em & get a set 0f 29 smoothbores.

I have a 1976 KZ900 with a 1015 kit. I purchased some of Lesho's carbs and I'm having some mid-range problems. It starts fluttering at about 3500-4500 rpms. I've tried raising my needles with shims, new dyna 3ohm coils along with the dyna ignition system,I've also cleaned and lubed my advancer, still not right. I'm new at this forum stuff!!! Can anybody help?

If you bought them from wiredgeorge then you should probably go back to wiredgeorge and ask his advice. He'll stand by his product.

Have you contacted the guy you bought the carbs from? That would be the best place to start.
You may get more responses if you start a new thread explaining your problem.
