It's mee again.
I think I have my carb issues on the run. I installed new #95 main jets today. I will run it tomorrow to see what the plugs look like.
It(81 GPZ550 had pods, went back to the stock box) was
very lean after reinstalling the stock air box. The mains were #90 with the pods.

My needle question is this, is there a way to get the slides out of the carbs while they are still attached to the motor if I need to change the clip position or shim them? The GPZ has TK(sp) carbs not the CV type.

The reason I ask is, it is a major hassle to pull the carbs with the stock box as you all know. I was able to change the mains without removing the carbs.

I would just take out the carbs, get more experience on removal and installation, that is if you didn't do that already. I think laziness comes down to problems

thats how i learned. i pulled carbs til i was blue in the face....:laugh: :)
