Need some help with identifying these carbs, choosing the right ones, figuring out what the difference is etc.
One set came from an unknown bike I think was older than mine. One set is off my 1978 KZ1000. I think the set I have has the hoses connected wrong but I'm not sure. I sold the bike 8 years ago and just got it back. It's not in such nice condition anymore. Could use some advice on which carbs to use and if I can just swap from one set to other as needed while I rebuild the other set. As far as I know the bike is stock with a Kerker 4/1 and POD's. I don't know if either set of carbs has ever been re-jetted. Any help is appreciated!

Here are 3 pics of the carbs that came off the bike:

I've read that a lot of people swap to the 28's, can I just toss those on there without making any other changes? I might have lucked out since I had the thought to try and find some 28's or 29's after seeing other people seemed to like those better :)
Couldnt beat the price anyway! A friend of mine threw away a whole KZ1000 that had a blown motor, all he saved were the carbs. They were pretty sorry looking when I got them, those pics are after extensive cleaning, but I walked out with 'em for free. Wish I had known back then I would be wanting some parts, I would have taken the bike.
