Yet another jetting question
23 Feb 2007 06:48
I checked my carbs and the jets I have are 17.5 pilots and 110 mains. I have a vance&hines 4-1 exhaust and am running pod filters. I bought the carbs on ebay and am wondering if the jet sizes seem near correct. I just put on accel coils, dyna wires, did the coil mod, and the spark plugs seem a bit wet-sooty still. I haven't vacuum synched the carbs yet or done the plug chop, just trying to get an idea if the jets seem appropriate.
All the wiring is new, I haven't had a timing light on the points setup yet either though. I did check valve clearance and they are all within spec.
