Crystalization?
17 Feb 2007 11:06
Today i took the carbs apart. The bike was given to me in pieces, mostly because the carb was overflowing through the float overflow. I took the carb apart to find the float needle was siezed in the seat. Thats no big deal.
The reason it was siezed is that there is a decent amount of crystalization in the carb, only one of them. Has anyone encountered this?

When I cleaned my carbs there were yellowish crystals and whatever gas was there had turned a shade of green, like antifreeze.
Have fun!

Yes, yellowish brown. Im glad im not the only one who experienced this. I guess it may take a while to get these cleaned out properly. Thanks for the input.
