Setting up carb for KZ700

I have a 1982 KZ700 without carbs. I also have a aet of VM26 sitting around. Does anyone know where I start with dialing these in for the KZ700? The bike has a 4 into 1 pipe and pods. Thanks

Read the thread recently posted by 80G... He also wants to set up some VM26 carbs for his bike. I asked him a series of questions and got enough response so I could take a stab at suggesting some jets for his bike.
