hey everyone im new to the site so i just thought i would introduce myself,
my name is Shawn and i live in Chicago on the Northside (GO BEARS) i have a 1983 kz550-c4 ltd, just purchased the bike last summer i got my bike license and rode it around everychance i got...it has treated me very well,i put in new throttle cables (x2) and a clutch cable, cleaned it up got everything fuctioning, and re-sealed the intake manifolds (leaking/hard starting) im waiting for the next season already so i can get some more riding in....the bike was somewhat slow on the highway and i could tell it was being held back...its all factory so i drilled out the exhaust baffles on either side and had to of picked up at least 15 HP cuz the bike just pulls and pulls now!! id like to do it the right way and get a 4-1 header and a pod filter kit but i know jetting is required any idea how many sizes i will need to jump after performing these mods? i plan on runhing the header/muffler with no baffle thanks for all the help

there's a site dedicated to the 550 that might help too, like this one:
