83-85 GPz1100 or 84-85 GPz750 Turbo throttle bodies are the easiest to use to convert KZ's to EFI. GSXR600 (38mm) throttle bodies will work if you change the spacing and use the J model carb holders.
They have the same spacing as the 650/750/900/1000/1100 motors, so they will physically fit. But, if I recall correctly, the B1 had the injectors in the head and not in the throttle bodies, so they are only good for the 80 KZ1000G and the 81 and possibly 82 GPz1100.i have 2 sets of fuel injection

Now I'm having a problem of getting to much fuel. When I hit the stater with plugs out, lots of fuel shoots out of the cylinders. The only way I can get it to run is to shut the fuel off, dry out the cylinders and plugs, then it will start but as soon as I turn the gas on it dies. When I take the plugs out, they are wet. Is there a pressure regulator?

If you asking about the fuel pressure. Either borrow a fuel pressure gauge or buy one and any auto parts store and graft it into the fuel system somewhere near the fuel rail. With the pump running it'll show you where the pressure regulator is set.
I sent mine off to an engineering firm in Oklahoma where for about $75 they converted it to be adjustable. I'll look around for the name off the company.
Hope this helps.

How do you test it?

I just happened to have another fuel regulator, but it still drowns out the plugs and shoots alot of fuel when I turn it over with the plugs out also. If I turn the fuel petcock off, I can start it and it will run on the fuel in the line. It will even take throtle well. What's could cause it to get to much fuel? Could it be a faulty check valve in the tank... it does connect to the regulator.

It could be, but you really need to check the fuel pressure in the line after the fuel pump and before the pressure regulator

pstrbrc : Is your computer still available? I think my problem is indeed a faulty computer. Has anyone tried to fix a computer? Could it be a bad solder joint on the board?

First the 1980 used a modified Bosch EFI, the 81' was a DFI.
The normal pressure was 40 psi. These systems are simple and you should be able to test it, but I would throw away the manual. It will make you crazy.

I'm not sure if anyone has successfully repaired an original CPU on these early FI bikes. It may be cheaper to buy a used one from eBay (I have picked up several spares for less than US$50 each from eBay for my FI beauty)...be careful which one you buy, I think that 1980 is different from 1981 is different from 1982 is different from 1983, etc...although I am aware of other people that have swapped all these on one bike and had no difference in performance:unsure:

I have heard the same thing too but nothing in the available Kawasaki literature for the North American models reflects this...however, I'm lacking much info on the H model (which was not released in NA...we got the G instead). Do you have a reference for this history?
