Rejetting: stock airbox to pods '78 KZ1000
07 Jan 2007 18:27
I'm still working on my winter project. It's a 78 KZ1000. I've removed the stock airbox and went with individual pods. I know that rejetting is in order and was hoping someone had some good baseline recomendations for the carbs: fuelscrew, pilot, main, needle clip. I've already gone through the carbs once to breath life into this bike since it hasn't run since '92. Also would these baseline settings work for a '77 KZ1000? Thanks.

Suprised no one has posted. I'm not a "pod person" :woohoo: and I'm not familier with 1000 jetting but I just wanted to keep you company until help arrives!

I think the general rule is 2 sizes up on the mains, and maybe one for the pilots. the needles may need to be raised a notch too
