carbs settings

hi guys i read a post today re carbs settings for needle clip possy and jets , i have mine pulled down and cleaned polished etc on my 79 750 b4 twin what i am wondering is what is the clip setting for needle , main jet and other jet sizes recomended
it is running std air box with k/h filter 2 into 2 exhaust with baffles ok
i ask as i allways have had probs with carbs too lean too rich , fouling plugs etc so will like to get it right this time around ,
i wrote a topic awhile ago re exhaust paint black
this is why i ask now as it burnt off . someone advised problem was carbs too lean i think it was so will appreciate any advice

thanks guys someone cares i think it is the culture thing us ossies have a pretty bloody warped sense of humour sometimes too getting back to the issue not sure on factory settings re lean or not
paint prep is an issue i hadnt considered , i will read the manual a bit more and see if i can find any imfo
bbq pain is anothe good idea
the bike was never any good once it came back from shop afer rebuild hasnt done a lot of k,s since then but constantly fouled plugs etc , really sooty black allways nearly the right side , even the day i got it back it wouldnt start of the trailer had to get 2 new plugs and away she went / go figure
so you can see why i really want it right this time around , i think i have kept ngk in buisness here down under

I had this black-sooty-plugs symptom for months. To make a long story short, the problem turned out to be low spark intensity. The solution was to do the coil-voltage relay modification AND new coils from Z1. Since then, its been great. I hope this helps.

the bike shop "went belly" up as we say or broke
moved away from that town a few years ago
now i have much to chk i got another set of coils to put on , but maybe i am better buying a new coil so as to be able to change the leads where as i cant whith the std ones
maybe it has been a spark prob all along
will take to auto electician and get him to chk all voltages etc
appreciate the advice thankyuo
and merry xmas to all
