It makes me wonder how long it will be before professional racing is done using unmanned bikes and cars. The military is using unmanned aircraft, including very large planes, for everything from surveillance to bombing missions, so can unmanned racing be far behind? Compared to the complexity of flying and landing aircraft with no pilots running a bike around the track should be child's play. And just think of the safety factor. It seems to me that compared to the perceived reduction in ecological impact that an electric racer provides the undeniable reduction in racing injuries would surely prompt do-gooders to demand unmanned racing bikes and cars. Stay tuned for a dull future. Ed

I'm not concerned. I'll be dead and forgotten before that happens. The way the goverments are going here in Aus. all bikes will be banned full stop.

Still around...recently sold my business and retiring.
The '75 Z1 Superbike sits retired in the garage, A '76 KZ900 street rod has grown out of the stash of racebike spares...it is a great running classic streetbike.
Recently, I acquired an '86 ZX1000 'barn find' which is being restored.
Lastly, I am really enjoying the 'boring and unsexy' ebike racing season. It is too much fun.
