Ya I know raking ain't the best way to go and to be honest my last restort.

I've been lookin local for an 18" rim I can lace to a spare hub I've got that
and a small front slick I should gain about an inch or so at the axle.
I think about 2 1/2" more (5" over total) in the back would work best.

After thinking about it more tonight and it's startin to get cooler here
I'm just gonna pull the cooler, do the spring's no spacer and strap it for now.

Finally got the bike back together so I could make a few passes before the year was done. Using the same Shinko 150/18 006 Podium tire Dave has on his 650. Tire feels a lot softer then any tire I've ever had before. You can feel the difference. Anyway, tried it with 20 PSI forst time and with just a little burnout, it seemed to hook up good. Tried taking it down to 15 PSI to see what it would do and I could feel it spin so back up to 18 PSI and it worked ral good. Tire I used before was an Avon (130/18 on a 3.5" rim)and it worked ok but at times it would spin. Had to leave at idle or just above to keep it hooked up. This 006 was on a 4.25" rim but it made a big difference. I know its larger so it had a wider footprint to start with, but it would pull front wheel before it started spinning once I got enough air in it. It was only one week-end but it was enough to make me a believer in this tire. When doing a burn-out, it would push the bike out of the water just like Dave said his did. Great tire.

I think it's the best 18" tire out right now for drag racing.
I.m going to the track next weekend so we'll see how it work's with
a little age and milage on it but on the street it still hook's like a bitch.

Update on the tire.
Mine's at about 1/2 tread now and this past weekend I could get it to do a burn out in
the water without pushing the front tire but on the line never did spin.
It's still the best 18" tire I've found.but don't buy it for milage as it's a soft tire and mine seem's
to be wearing quick but then I ain't nice to it.

Santa Dave's gonna bring me another one this year.

Thank's F1 been awhile since I posted here so a little update.
Haven't been to the track this year yet but hope to go next Saturday
but last time out I had rejet'd the carb's and motor realy like'd it
and went three teeth up on the rear now geared 16/45.

With the new found power and gearing bike went to wheeling bad
every pass killin my 60 ft.'s. best pass was another 7.63@89.93 with a suck azz 2.10 60 ft..
60ft was 4 tenth's off my ave. time of low 1.70's back pedalin the wheelie.

The video.

so I did this to stop the wheelie's.

Chaz on the blue ZX14 and his dad on the gold ZX14
then my first pass with the longarm.

Malibu get's the head start and I had to run him down.
He got me by 1/3 my front wheel in this one.

Sounds like the clutch is slipping. Shifts sounds odd.

Maybe it's just the way it is coming through in the video?

How do you like the longer swingarm?
