No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationThese are all over the place on eBay.  For those that know, other than fabricating mounting brackets, do you think this will work?  They're for a Kawasaki ZRX.

I would say yes, but a risk is it's made in china & may not last very long. The ZRX has a mechanical drive speedo & electronic tach.  You'd have to verify the speedo cable fitment. I don't know if either of the ends are the same. I'd say yes, guessing.   Not sure if converting to an electro-tach would be a simple matter, since from the wiring diagram the zrx is wired a little different than a KZ w electro-tach.  Electro-tachs on KZs are typically triggered by the black wire going to one of the ignition coils; while the zrx is triggered by a dedicated wire from the igniter.  I don't know if the trigger rate would be the same. tach stuff edited. was looking at zr1100 wiring diagram. doh.

I am pretty sure nearly all of the J-engined KZ1000s used electronic tachometer.

The one in the pic above must be for the ZRX 400, as the larger ones did not have such a high redline.

I noticed the redline after I posted the pic.  I've got a ways to go before I even get to the point of needing the gauges, so I'll just keep looking and see what pops up down the road.

There would be no harm in using a tachometer with the wrong redline as long as you respect the limitations of your engine. You might be able to find someone who can print  a gauge face with the correct redline. Also, a speedometer that measures kph might not be all that useful in South Texas.
