Just removed these 33 Mikuni's from my 1976 KZ900 project that has been sitting for over 20 years.  I am surprised how clean these carbs are.  
The throttle / slides and choke all move freely.  The only thing I have done to them is remove bowls to get a picture.   Let me know if you need any more pics.

I have a set of 1975 VM28 in nice condition that ill be getting in the next week, was goin to give them a once over then Im putting them up for sale or swap for a set of Rs34 as i have 2 sets all ready, they might go well with your build.

A member on this site asked me for some pics of the slides with the cover removed. It has the number 1.5 stamped on them.

33/A-14 was the set spaced and jetted for KZ1000-KZ1100
The jetting out of the box was = #140 main/#1.0 air jet/#30 pilot/#1.5 slide/#6DJ30 jet needle/#O-8 needle jet
They would date from 1980/1981

You do have to remember those are race carbs and the jets they were sent out with are generally for race bikes (higher compression/bigger cams/head work etc.)

that is why they are for sale.  I removed them from a 76 KZ900 motor with a 1200 bore kit and magneto ignition. (probably bigger cams, higher compression, etc.)  I am returning the bike / motor to stock 900.
