I need to change the front tire on my Goldwing.  I went to a local tire store but they said they wouldn't do it because their equipment wasn't correct.  I tried to make an appointment at a couple of bike shops but they're booked up til early July.  This was the alternative.  I looked at this one but don't have the room.

Why not just buy three motorcycle tire irons for less than $20 total?  Ed

Is that all you use?

Do you run tubeless tires?  My Goldwing also has a car tire on the rear.

I don't think you would be able to change one of these tires with just 3 tire irons.

We installed one of these a few years ago.

www.nomartirechanger.com/tc-ch100hd.html

Considering what dealers charge for simply changing a tire even with the wheel off the bike, it's already paid for itself.  One of the best tool investments we've ever made.  Radials with very stiff sidewalls (Bridgestone rears come to mind...) require some concerted effort & lots of Ru-Glyde slickum.

Hardrockminer, we never ran darksides on our ST1300's, so can't vouch for how it might handle a CT.

Looks very similar!

Apparently it was recommended when the sidecar was added.  It's a 195/55 16R Michelin.  It probably has another year before changing, but the front is done and that's the one I'm going to change before putting insurance on the rig.  In the interim I'm riding my KZ1000.  Heading out today with Sweetums.
