Thanks again Dr. for the prod in that direction.  I did check not only Partzilla but Kawasaki Motor Corp(KMC?) websites.   My piston and ring part numbers on both Partzilla and Kawasaki parts pages agree and have the same numbers. These part numbers do not match with anything standard or over size on the InStockMotorsports web page.  I did message them to confirm whether they have anything that will work on my F7.  Have not heard back as yet.

I did talk to Tom yesterday late afternoon.  He actually took the time to step out of his niece's wedding reception to chat with me.  I believe he mentioned another method or source.  That part cross reference source has a subscription cost.  Believe it is some sort of Kawasaki exchange called Zedder.com   Tom is willing to look into for me.  I am going to email him my Kawasaki part numbers along with model.  1974 F7C by the way.  He may be able to provide additional insight.

Thanks again for helping me work through this.

Thanks Wookie,  yes that is one of the three sizes for my model.  It is the larger of the over size ones.  I will check them out and see if they have rings to go with that piston.

It is possible that Kawasaki changed the part numbers at sometime during production, so the eBay seller may have an early set with the earlier part numbers on the packaging.

OK, I am officially addle brained.  I have double checked all three size piston and corresponding ring sets.  It does not matter whether it is a model year 1971 - 1973 OR 1974 - 1975 series.  The piston and ring sizes are identical between these years.  I must have been misled when clicking on similar parts then getting an offer.  This was mistakenly for another displacement model.
UPDATE: Just accepted an offer and did get a 10% discount on the piston and rings.  Still not cheap but have secured some key NOS for this resto.

Thanks to all for helping kick me in the right direction.
