So I've run into a new issue (old issue) with the 'P'.  I can't get it to start and I think it is flooded.  I looked at the petcock and I don't see an 'off' position.  Only 'On', 'Res' and 'Pri'.  Is there a way to shut off the fuel?  The switch is always in the On position.  I assume that 'Res' is 'Reserve'.  Is 'Pri' Primary? Thanks for the help.

It's a vacuum operated tap.
The PRI position means PRIME and is to supply fuel to the carb prior to the engine being started at which point you should switch to ON or RES depending on the fuel level in the tank..
Fuel should only flow when the engine is not running with the tap in the Prime position.
On and Res shouldn't flow any fuel until the engine is running so either will act as off when the engine is not running.
If fuel flows through ON or Res with the engine not running the tap is faulty and at the least the diaphragm will need replacing..
Do not leave the tap in the PRIME position when the bike is parked up or garaged as this may cause flooding.

Thanks for the info.  I will try starting it in the Pri position.

No luck.  Still won't start.  Almost sounds like there is no fuel getting to the engine.  Looks like it is going to go back to the shop.  :(

Grab some starting fluid and see if the bike fires.
Before you do that, pull the plugs.
Do they smell like gas?

Is the tap flowing? Is there fuel in the carb bowl? Easy to check...
