yes, I agree. metric is preferred. I had a riviera, some was standard and some was metric. drove me nutz. Here is a quick print of both parts of my tool for installing guides. All my mikes are metric, so most of the measurements are in metric. The overall measurements were done with a ruler. So those are in American. Hope you work in metric!!!

Well, thank the good Lord above! Finally, I got good news on my SSI claim the other day! Was starting to think I'll be dead by the time I get SSI, seems like they hope you'll die before they have to pay ya.
This will now enable me to get my head work correctly done at a good reputable shop. Sooo relieved!
I've been catching myself staring at that damn head laying over on the bench, then all your advise comments and messages start running through my head. I just know that I need to listen to those that are clearly in the know. Knew I'd have to wait till I could afford to get it done at a good reputable shop, but the nice fall days were driving me crazy, too LOL
Surely, someday I will revisit this subject again, perhaps by then I'll have acquired more knowledge, the correct tooling, and the various measuring devices needed.
Thanks for the much needed advice!!
TY Regards
