Have you dismantled it?  What do you mean when you say it's bad?
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

It is still available new from Kawasaki.

If you want used, I think all of the J engines used the same starter.

Are you sure it is the starter and not the starter clutch?

Won’t spin like it should - very weak. I do t want to rebuild (don’t have the skills) just need a used one - this one is trashed

I’m just checking before I bite the bullet and spend $230 - used will be better than the one I have!

Have your battery load tested first. Don't ask me how I know.

Do you have a voltmeter ? A bad ground will give the same symptoms. My fault finding guide in the FAQ section tells you how to check a starter circuit for connection problems. There is no worse feeling than spending a chunk of money and having the same problem when you push the button

Starters are one of the easier components to rebuild.  As Steve said, it may only be the brushes.  You can buy new brushes for a couple of bux.

And if you're taking the old one off the bike you may as well open it. Only 2 bolts. Just scribe a line where the top joins the main body.  Mine didn't even need brushes. Just blew out the carbon dust and greased the gears in the bottom.

Worth doing your voltage checks first, it only takes about 20 mins and costs nothing
