I believe the original Gun Kote is what KG calls their series 1600 coating.

Gun Kote has to be sprayed on parts pre-heated to 100 degrees or so.

Then after spraying the parts have to be baked at 300 to 325 degrees for at least one hour. 

I use my family oven to cure my Gun Koted parts.   The next 5 or 6 pizza's I cook in the oven do taste a bit funny after baking the Gun Koted parts!!!!!

Seems like there was a build thread around here in which the builder used gold gun coat on his engine.
