Was checking valve clearances when I noticed what appeared like the intake cam was snapping forward, which was causing sudden slack in between the cams,  ..never seen this before, is something wrong here? Please help if possible. Much thanks

What engine?

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

There's always a little bit of give as the cams get pushed over by the valve spring pressure but if there's momentary slack you need to look at the chain tensioner to see if it's backing off under load.
This is the reason APE type manual tensioners are the popular choice.

Ahhh I see, I was worried. Nah, its not really causing excessive slack, just a notable amount slack. I'm using a stock tensioner, and am now looking into getting an APE manual type of tensioner. Thank you for the info!

Manual tensioners require careful adjustment to make sure they are set properly.  A lot of guys overtighten which is worse case.  The stock tensioners work well assuming they are not binding up or whatever.  I like to take them off, replace the seals, and check smoothness of operation.  Assuming they are working as designed I slap them back on and don't worry further.
