85 GPz750 Custom - Oil Cooler Line Question was created by ajsfirehawk
So I've re-re-re-re-repainted the tank on this little dickens. This time I lined the tank after TIG welding the problem areas to finally kill the hairline crack issues that have killed the 4 previous paint jobs. I probably shouldn't admit that it took that many times to give up and line the tank with the POR15 kit, but it did and I just am what I am. So the bike is back on the road and I am getting the slightest amount of seepage from one of the oil cooler lines. It isn't even completely shiney, but no amount of seepage is good and likely indicates the hose is on it's way out. If it gives out, by the time the rider sees the light, reacts, and shuts it down it may well lynch the engine. So I need to go after it before it bites me. How would you all approach replacing those lines. Have them remade by a local vendor, AN fittings and Earls line, AN fittings and braided steel. What say you oh wise ones?

The engine attachment uses a flange w/O-rings. I think you would have to make some conversion blocks of some sort so an AN fitting can be threaded in.

You can take it to a hose repair shop and have them crimp on some new hoses.

There is a place fairly close that works on skid steers. They either do it or know someone who does I'll bet. Thanks for the thoughts gang.
