Drain the fuel tank and dry him out with a heat gun or hair dryer.
Remove your float bowls and give them a good clean.
Remove the petcook  and give them a good clean.
Check if the jets and air bleed pipe holes are clean and not plugged.
Blow air or brake cleaner through all air/fuel passages in the carb body.
Use the right fitments tools for the brass jets and parts.
Don´t open clogged ports or jets with a steel wire, use a plastic wire, otherwise you will extent the bore out the jets off # size/flow calibration!!!
Check the float bowl high before you put the carbs on to the bike.

A guitar string or strand from a wire brush the correct size won't damage the jets.

The only metal i prefer for jet cleaning is a "soft" single copper wire Steve.
No abrasive effects on brass parts!

How about Heet water remover? As it isn't a lot and I don't want to waste all the gas I just put in it

Drain the fuel in a bucket. Water is heavier than fuel and stay on the bottom of the bucket. Be aware of inflammable liquids like fuel in a garage, go outside to do this job!!! You can use a fuel/water separator to get pure fuel but health is more valuable than some liters/gallons/dollars of fuel!!!

It's the H1. If I do drain gas into a bucket what do I do from there? Siphon the gas or water out?

Fuel will sit on top of the water after its settled for a while, so syphon from the top unless you have a container with a tap at the bottom. Either way will do as long as you seperate them.

I got it worked out! I just tried some of the Heet stuff since the bike still would run and ran a little last night then added a tiny bit more and let it sit today. Came home from work and let it run for about 5 minutes then worked through the throttle cutout till finally it popped a little bit then ran fine. Took it for a little ride and it drives soo much better now. After adjusting the valve clearance and carbs then cleaning the carbs it runs better than it has ever for me. Basic things to do I know but this is my first bike and I've never really done anything with them before. Taking it one step at a time and slowly getting it right
