I was torquing my exhaust cam down and had forgotten to remove the tach worm gear from the bike. It’s a 1978 kz650 SR. The damage is fairly minimal. Will I need to replace the exhaust cam or will the worm gear and cam work together since the damage is minimal? Thanks!

You could clean that up with a file but if the tach drive is bent it needs to be replaced.
