Buy the correct gasket. I knew I was going to do a valve job soon so it was only temporary. .

I understand, from where can I purchase and what is recommend?

Purchase the Wiseco head gasket is the best choice?

www.wiseco.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ItemID...Year=1981&AppID=6915

www.summitracing.com/int/parts/wis-w3163/overview/

So to purchase these will be the best option for me?

Thank you all.

Maybe pm Zuckdave or maybe Larry C...... I'd trust their opinion on what to use....... I personaly like the Wiseco but since you have a new oem gasket you could save some cash.

I got the early Z1 gasket because it was cheap and to see of it would leak. It worked great but I could see in my mind the edges glowing and causing detonation. It didn't but I feel better having the proper gasket this time. This is the second use I've gotten out of it. I have the other one hanging up in case I need it in a pinch.

Ok its Zukdave without a C (on the second page of this thread) and look under Zukdave's first page of "Drag strip trip" to find Larry C a top notch engine builder and head porter that's been on here for years....... I also see Nessium recommends the Wiseco in your new thread so that's good.

You need to use a 69 mm bore KZ750 head gasket from Cometic and only Cometic their simply the best on the market IMHO.
Cometic is who makes the Wiseco head gasket.
A factory stock bore gasket will hang inside the bore and have sex with the piston,
