Yep done the valve guide seals

It’s got a new timing plate - condensers - points - coils - leads - caps and plugs

I’ll have another look when I get the chance..

Well puzzled

When trying to locate a problem I always look at the work just done .
You touched the whole ignition system , Hmmmmmmm..Look there first.......
Dont assume , Check it and coils too
Then look elsewhere

Would check for gasoline contamination of the crankcase oil.
Do the sniff test. And examine condition of the oil.

Good Fortune! :)

hey all, sorry such a late reply.
so had another look over the bike, was all pretty much fine...
one set of points was a touch out.
drained the tank, used a conditioner and ran new fuel...

still the same!

then checked the balancing! as i pulled the inlet rubber cap, 1/2/4 was filled with fuel like a bucket!?
then remember cylinder 3 was actually flooding up a week or so before. I pulled the carbs and polish THE BRAND NEW needle and seat.
that stop carb 3 flooding up , maybe it wasn't seating properly...

anyway pulled the carbs and done the same to 1/2/4 and its all been perfect! powers better then ever as well.... very strange but been a few weeks and still all good! no fuel in the inlet ca[s so maybe it was 'flooding' in a strange way.
